An outdoor wedding venue in Montana, kept by one family

The West Fork of the Bitterroot River runs through our 340 acres of meadow and pine. Our family has cared for this land for more than 20 years, and for a full-day or weekend wedding, nobody else is on it.

Say your vows in the open meadow, in a clearing by the river, at the edge of the trout pond, or facing the mountains. Then walk over to the hangar for dinner.

A weekend, not an afternoon

A Montana ranch wedding your people can stay for

Most weddings are over by midnight. Here, your closest family and friends sleep in the log cabins, wake up by the river, and get a few more slow hours with you. This is how the weekend usually goes.

  1. The West Fork of the Bitterroot running past a log cabin in the pines
    Friday afternoon

    Everyone settles in

Bags go into the cabins, someone heads to the river with a fly rod, and a campfire gets going after dinner.

  2. A bride in a silk gown writing at a wooden table inside a log cabin
    Saturday morning

    Getting ready in the cabin

Soft light through the log walls, coffee on the table, and a quiet hour before the photos start.

  3. A bride and groom kissing under a big pine draped in white fabric after their ceremony
    Saturday afternoon

    Vows under the big pine

Chairs out on the meadow, the mountains behind you, and everyone you love in the same place.

  4. A couple sharing their first dance under string lights in the open-air hangar
    Saturday night

    First dance in the hangar

The string lights come on, dinner is served, and the dancing goes on long after dark.

  5. The view from a log cabin porch over pines and meadow to the mountains
    Sunday morning

    The porch, the morning after

Slow coffee, a farewell brunch, and one more look at the valley before anyone heads home.

Two nights on the ranch is the Montana Legacy ($9,900). One night is the Mountain Escape ($6,900). Both include all three cabins, which sleep 14, with room to camp for everyone else.
